ABOUT US

Peter & John Ministries (PJM) is a multi-faceted Christian ministry that includes BRIGHT-FM (95.1), River Valley Ranch (RVR), and other outreach efforts—all focused on sharing the hope found in Jesus. Over the past 70+ years, PJM has impacted hundreds of thousands of lives through gospel-centered programming on the air, at camp, and in our communities.

JOIN US IN AMPLIFYING HOPE

We’re seeking a Major Gifts Officer who is energized by building authentic relationships and inviting others to partner with us in transforming lives. The Major Gifts Officer plays a key role in ensuring this mission continues to thrive and expand—by building meaningful relationships and inviting others to join the work.

This is more than fundraising—it’s a ministry of connection, stewardship, and storytelling. You’ll work with a passionate Development Team to identify, cultivate, and steward major donors, helping them find deep joy in advancing the Kingdom through their generosity.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build Relationships: Proactively engage with a portfolio of 125–150 donors and prospects through personalized outreach, visits, and ongoing communication.

  • Invite Generosity: Develop customized gift strategies and proposals aligned with the donor’s passions and PJM’s strategic initiatives.

  • Partner with Purpose: Collaborate with the VP of Development and executive leaders to identify funding priorities and major giving opportunities.

  • Communicate Impact: Share stories and results that show donors the tangible impact of their gifts.

  • Celebrate and Steward: Ensure donors feel valued through timely acknowledgment, thoughtful follow-up, and meaningful engagement.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES, CHARACTERISTICS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • A personal, growing faith in Christ and alignment with PJM’s Statement of Faith.

  • A heart for people across a wide variety of expression of the Christian faith.

  • A passion for ministry through giving.

  • 3+ years of experience in major gift fundraising, donor relations, or high-trust relationship development (sales, consulting, pastoring, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in relationship tracking and follow-through.

  • Proficiency with donor CRM tools (Raiser’s Edge/NXT a plus).

  • Confidence and humility to pray with donors and invite them into a faith-based giving journey.

A FEW MORE THINGS

  • While remote, this role includes in-person donor visits, staff meetings, and event participation.

  • Occasional travel, evening, or weekend work is expected.

  • Physical ability to participate in donor events and travel regionally.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience
